Not everyone wants full-on social media engagement. Some would rather observe, like, and echo without undue attention. They are not lurkers; they contribute.

Extroversion is not mandatory.

But if you're looking for engagement, please remember:

Engagement is a two-way street on #Spoutible

By two-way street I mean if you want more engagement do more than spout.

Like, reply, and quote spout. Interact with others and they will notice your spouts.

Follow more people and many will follow back.

There are lots of good folks on here who are welcoming and open to new voices.

I forgot to say "echo" and of course my 15 minutes to edit was up. People appreciate when you echo and they will likely do so in kind.

Some of our most visible spouters who get many likes and echoes don't just spout, they echo and like too.

I agree. I tend to observe and follow which should also be ok.

Without an algorithm your experience here is more about whom you follow than who follows you. With follow-backs, echoes, replies, & quote-spouts, you will start to find your own curated pod & the themes/topics you enjoy & have in common.

Before long you'll make friends because Trolls Begone.

Some of us have ptsd from damn bird app experience, yet we still want to stay connected somehow.

It's ironic that people complain about #Spoutible not being similar enough.

I liken the difference to being in a chaotic classroom with kids just shouting out random stuff, whereas Spouties raise

I was an early joiner of Spoutible - hoping for good things. However w/o an IOS App - was not of much use for me …. until NOW. Sooo - what are the best ways to helpfully ‘engage’ here to promote positive community?

True, I don't always post but do react to what people post.
