Most of the Triarthrus found at Beecher's Bed are only ~1 cm long. Larger 2-3 cm Triarthrus can be found, but are rare. It's been suggested that the larger trilobites may have been able to climb out of the mud flows that buried them.

Trilobites from this location are special because they show soft tissue preservation. The legs and antenna are replaced with pyrite or Fool's gold. They are some of the most stunning trilobites in the world.

The antenna are just amazing on this specimen. You can see the individual segments. The eggs are located in the cheeks, just like horseshoe crabs. I helped with SEM pics in the scientific paper describing the eggs a few years ago.
