I block people who heavily cite bible verses. They aren’t inspirational to nonbelievers. It’s like, “Jesus died for your sins” and I’m all “Copernicus just wanted to say the earth revolves around the sun, how’s that for actual awesomeness?”

Same. Usually a Mathew 6:5-8 clears things right up (my one and only citation from my French Huguenot ancestors).

These days the only time I quote bible verses is to point out how egregiously certain christofascists don’t follow the Bible they claim to hold so dear. Plus occasional puns and offbeat humor, selah.

I find people who overly quote the Bible are the same type of people who constantly brag about how much sex they're having. You're trying to convince other people of something you're not even convinced of yourself.
