The Equal Rights Amendment has passed both chambers of Congress and has been ratified by 38 states. The ERA belongs in our Constitution.

Can we removing the deadline keeping the ERA out of the constitution with a simple majority of both houses?

If so this could be done tomorrow.

2/3s is a bit harder. But either way make the people who oppose it go on the record. Win or lose knowing that would be good for the country.

The Constitution doesn't specify or mandate any limitation on how long it takes to ratify in the states. However, if I'm not mistaken, the original amendment passed Congress with a stipulation that if not ratified within seven years, it would become null and void. Is that limitation valid or not?

Let me know when there's still time on the clock. Until then, that and 3 bucks will buy a cup of coffee.
