The Equal Rights Amendment has passed both chambers of Congress and has been ratified by 38 states. The ERA belongs in our Constitution.

The Constitution doesn't specify or mandate any limitation on how long it takes to ratify in the states. However, if I'm not mistaken, the original amendment passed Congress with a stipulation that if not ratified within seven years, it would become null and void. Is that limitation valid or not?
