Our daughters graduate in May and we are leaving FL. If you could live in any state in the NE, where would you go and why? Daughters applied to schools in NJ, Connecticut, Delaware and Massachusetts. We can live anywhere near a major airport.

NY depending on what you want they have everything. Also tremendous growth in upstate, Syracuse is getting a huge new chip plant, property taxes are low and it’s a nice college town. Downstate is great but expensive. You have a lot of options.

My husband started his career in upstate NY. He's winding down now. He will probably retire in 4 years. I'll ask him about Syracuse. I've been a stay at home mom since we adopted our girls. I like the idea of it being a college town so I can go back to school for refresher courses.

It’s cold. That’s the downside for me. But one of our sons lives in Tipp Hill he’s an engineer and every time we visit him we like it more and more. Affordable City
