#news #Israel #JudicialOverhaul Political parties not in Netanyahu's coalition boycotted the vote, it passed 64-0. There are currently mass protests outside the Knesset, throughout Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv. Reporters on the ground are saying police are no longer in control of the situation.

Do regular citizens in Israel own the amount of guns they do here? 🤷‍♀️

Official gun ownership in Israel is around 2% of the population, compared to 30% in the US. There is a strict permitting process. This is specifically legal gun ownership, and is not necessarily the case for settlers in occupied territories.

However, the Minister of National Security, Itimar Ben-Gvir (please google search this man and his history), said earlier this morning that he hopes to import from the United States private gun ownership and the death penalty for terrorists.

not sure but they do have a military requirement for their citizens and I've heard other countries like this they keep their service weapon after they serve. So maybe, but they're trained to use them unlike many in the USA.

I knew about the mandatory Military Service. I didn’t realize they could keep the weapon(s). Interesting. 🤔☮️
