There is speculation that Mitch McConnell just had a stroke on live television.

Is it too early to talk about the need for term limits yet?

It's totally inappropriate to use this incident as a stepping stone to rail against age. A person can have a stroke, heart attack, or medical issue AT ANY AGE. Ability is individual; age can play a role, but it isn't always a factor nor should an arbitrary age be the sole reason to stop working.

Age absolutely becomes a key factor as one grows older. A person is certainly more likely to have a stroke, heart attack, or suffer other medical issues as they age. Especially when accompanied by signs of mental and physical decline, age does indeed become pertinent.
This shouldn't be controversial

All politicians of any age should have to pass physicals and mental competency tests on a regular basis because, as you said, this can happen at any age and it's a high stress job. Also, a civics test requirement before being allowed to run for office would weed out the Boeberts and other morons.
