This may seem obvious to some but I think it bears restating: Two things can be true at the same time. We can recognize the U.S. economy is doing better than it has in years and still understand that the poor remain poor and more needs to be done.

We can celebrate that Joe Biden has the most diverse administration ever and still know that marginalized communities are still suffering at a disproportionate rate and more needs to be done.

We can also recognize that the country and the world is better off because Joe Biden is president and still cry over the atrocities that are being committed against marginalized communities around the world.

Yes, let's celebrate the progress that is being made. But let us also know that we must continue to challenge the status quo if we are ever going to be a fully just society. It will be uncomfortable, and even painful at times. But true growth is never easy. Love you all 🙏

When people challenge you, listen. Understand that our lives are still in peril every day just because we exist. I urge our Spoutible family not to fall into the 'whataboutism' trap. Learn from our experiences. Read. Ask questions. We will tell you our truth.

"The economy" versus public prosperity are definitely two different things. The rich getting richer at a higher rate skews the overall numbers. And those numbers are a shell game from one quarter to another.

I agree completely with your spout! Exactly how I feel and maybe I need to work on how I express it better.

Thank you. I am already exhausted from being poor and it’s hard to tell people that I do support Biden but I still have problems.

I'm in the same situation. I absolutely celebrate the exceptional performance of president Biden, but more needs to be done locally. Affordable housing is essentially nonexistent here, causing a massive homelessness crisis. We need to work on local issues while celebrating national successes

I have been there and it is as you say EXHAUSTING - just juggling bills and needs takes up a ridiculous and draining amount of time.

I hope things improve for you. Don't give up, I only got to a point where I'm making a true living wage (not luxurious) a few years ago, and I'm 57 in a month.
