Sure, but that ended when the violence caused by it began.

1A doesn’t protect you when your words incite imminent lawless action.

Once again, Republicans don’t understand how the Constitution they claim to defend works.

First amendment protects citizens from government constraint of speech. It does not authorize unconstrained speech from government. It's important to remember Trump's role at the time he was promulgating lies. He was government.
