Jimmy Carter is a reminder that moral leadership--not just in words, but deeds--can create a better world. The continuing appeal of cruelty and sociopathy for many voters will only hasten the downward spiral.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter helped build 4,000 homes in their work with Habitat for Humanity. He brokered peace between Egype and Israel, and un-stalled negotiations on behalf of multiple subsequent administrations. He was a dedicated, intelligent public servant in the truest sense of the term.

Jimmy Carter is one of the very few that don’t trigger my knee jerk reaction against anything religious.

He truly embodies what Christianity could and should be. He doesn’t tell you, he shows you what he’s all about.

If only more religious types were like him.
