Hey friends, let’s play a game:

What movie do you genuinely enjoy that also has the lowest possible rating on Rotten Tomatoes?

Mine is the Segal action schlock-fest “The Patriot” from 1998. I probably watched it 30 times on HBO, and it’s got a 20%.

Ice Pirates, from 1984.

17% rating, but back when I had cable and was surfing through the channels, I'd stop there and watch to the end.

Year One. 14/23.
Jack Black, Michael Cera.

I knew it was bad, but it made me laugh, and godamnit, life is hard.

I don’t know if it’s the lowest possible score, but I loved Superman 3. Richard Pryor was hilarious and a darker Superman was an interesting look.

Right up there with The Cable Guy for critically panned black comedies

Ooh I dunno what the Rotten Tomatoes is for it, but I have seen Mel Brooks' History of the World Part I many, many times

62%, so mostly positive. I don’t know if Mel Brooks has a negative movie…
