Justice Kagan is right. The SC does not exist in a vacuum. The three branches exist for checks and balances on... all three branches of government. Justice Alito doesn't understand his assignment.

No doubt. That's why he and others like him need to be checked and balanced. The judiciary is supposed to be impartial. Too many activist judges seeking clout. Influence peddling. Just plain ignorant.
