Not sure why the default reaction is "no, I'm not going to listen to users' or their concerns, we voted and it's done."

Taking these concerns seriously and asking what exactly writers and users want clarified would be the better move.

People are really bad at discourse. The amount of over-reaction and emotionally charged action over interpretation (or verbiage left to interpretation) is always the primary cause of nonsense.

I think the concern raised is valid and needs addressed. Especially since this place is in baby stage.

Yeah, the refusal to engage with people who had valid concerns was almost more troubling than the content restrictions themselves. Seriously disappointing.
