Maui County posted some new information with data on the damage in Lahaina.

Current count is 2,207 structures destroyed and an estimated $5.52 billion to rebuild. 86% of those structures are residential.

OMG. Absolutely heartbreaking. I hope all preferences go to the Indigenous folks. The others can and should move back to the mainland.

Though I am born and raised and currently living in Hawaii, I should just move back to the mainland?...To where?...How ignorant is that?...Yes, priority should be to Hawaii residents.

Sorry, many of us have short fuses with everything that has been going on...I literally have no patience for BS.

Got dam do I feel like an idiot. I am so sorry. You have been an incredible champion for the Indigenous folks and I stupidly cast you aside because I didn't think about anything or anyone but my own selfish anger. I am so sorry. Please forgive me.

No ma'am. I apologize. I know there are many who are generations thick who are not Indigenous but who wholeheartedly respect the ways of the Indigenous people. I should have been more specific. I'm still reeling from the big story about a Rolex. I fell into a media trap. 😢

Many were triggered by that story and the MSM focusing on mainlanders/Haoles who's vacations and honeymoons were interrupted and ruined by the wildfires.

A boat load of tourist went snorkeling off of Lahaina just yesterday, while Lahaina stills burns...The fires are not completely out yet.
