I realize that a lot of y'all are concerned about Trump (and his indicted co-defendants) and yes it's natural, but don't let it cause you to freeze up with fear. Let's be honest, this is the tactics of Trump and the GOP to make sure you're paralyzed with fear, so they can prosper.

As you well know Trump and about 19 people (so far) were indicted in Georgia on the state RICO statutes. However, it's already known that Meadows is trying to get this pushed to a federal court. Reality is it's possible it may happen, but...

This crime took place still in Georgia, and Fani Willis will still prosecute. There are other filings of these types that may well happen, however, the Federal courts will yield to Georgia law since this is a state matter.

Even if they were somehow successful, keep in mind that Atlanta has federal courts and they will be used. Also keep in mind that Even some of the suburbs of Atlanta like Gwinnett and Cobb Counties lean democratic because of a population shift.

I don't know if these motions will be entertained, and rejected by the judge, but keep this in mind, should the mess around and get the state trial in a federal court...it's going to be to their detriment.

That is, federal courts tend to move quickly and will move quickly (for example outside of Cannon's court, Florida's federal courts are known as Rocket Dockets for a reason).

Also remember this Trump (and the co defendants) are still innocent until proven guilty by a jury of 12. The Grand jurors did their job, now it's up to the petit jury to make their determinations.

Regardless, keep in mind that that this is out of our control. Yes I would like to see Trump convicted, but we have a ton of work to do to start flipping local and statewide seats blue this year. Let's work on that, and let Fani, Jack and the others do their work.

Rob, great thread and wise advice. We need to let the pro’s do their work. Meanwhile we need to vote blue across the board.
