And here’s an example of IT gone wrong. We have an intermittent problem transferring files to the ftp server. The server is new. The error message shows an authentication error. We have 4 teams involved. (1/n)

The Linux server team owns the ftp server.
The Windows server team owns the destination drive for the files.
A third team owns AD on which authentication happens.
My team owns the application responsible for generating and sending the files. (2/n)

No team can find conclusive evidence in their logs.
Muddying the water is an intermittent issue in which my team can’t ssh into the application server.
The issues are probably related.
Muddying it further, Linux team owns the servers my uses but my team manages them.
