Tom (hides face in hands). … I was at Woodstock 1994. How did you know?

I hated it. It was muddy w people out of their minds. Not enough bathrooms, etc. It was just an annoying mess. I remember leaving the concert and going to where our tent was pitched to hang out away from show. Left early.

And we won't even discuss Woodstock '99. The Gen X Altamont.

That one was a lawsuit. I think 1994 was a little like 69. In fact a lot of people who went 69 hated it. It’s myrhology and the quality of your psychedelics. I was a nature girl hippy chick in 94 and to me it was just a sloppy mess. Though I think it’s cool to watch the performances on YouTube.

Not enough bathrooms, though, jeezus. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson from past clustereffs.

Sorry you had a bummer.

Robert Christgau seemed to like it, though. And it was something of a peak of youthful Gen X culture. So there's that. 🙂

Yes I am sure Robert from his perch at the Rolling Stone VIP spot w private backstage bathrooms loved it, A lot of people loved it but they were frickin high and drugged up. Sadly I was not. And it felt like something bad could happen if you were too out of your faculties. In fact people did die.
