Unpopular question: Since we know that over 100 million fascist insurrectionists have guns, is it REALLY a good idea to engage in gun control legislation?

40,000 gun deaths per year.
2/3 are suicides.
= 14,000 + gun murders.

Cars kill more, the flu kills more.

Bad guys have them, shouldn't we?

This boils down to: we have a problem, isn't the answer more problems?

Fair enough, but aren't you scared by the facts I noted? You know these people want to kill us, right?

No, but if I was scared, more guns would only mean more things to fear. Just doesn't make any logical sense to escalate.

Maybe you're right, maybe we can avoid confrontation with these folks by not creating conflict. I would like to avoid civil war.

That being said, I will not gamble the safety of my family upon said premise. People are being murdered for flying LGBTQ+ flags.

You gotta make your own decisions. But the data doesn't show that households with guns are safer. It's the opposite.

I hear you, but that's because most people are idiots who don't use gun safes.
