Democrats won the 3rd NH House special election in a row. Expected win, but it was a blowout, 34 point victory. We do have the enthusiasm & momentum.

2 more specials scheduled this fall; win those and we'll have a tied Statehouse & can at least prevent any more of Sununu's fuckery.

Only 690;votes total? These are tiny elections even for a special election.

In NH we have 400 House members – I believe it's the 2nd largest legislature in the world after the U.S. Congress (which is quite silly, really). So turnout probably wasn't great, but each district is quite small.

400 seats!!! For a tiny state like NH. Here in WA we have 49 districts each with one senator and two reps.

Yeah, it's kind of bizarre. On the one hand it's cool because it's very easy to know & talk to your Rep; on the other, it's a volunteer position (it'd be expensive to pay so many people) so only retired or well off people can run, and you get a lot of very un-professional folks.
