Doesn’t surprise me at all. What will surprise me if corporations in the U.S. will actually willingly into place. I can also see corporations using this as an excuse to reduce the pay of salaried employees.

Lived it. As the company from which I retired globalized the workforce, the US employees got the short end of the stick because the EU countries and others had laws in place preventing the kinds of things they get away with here.

U.S. companies have no regard to what is best for the employees in terms of competitive wages, health care, or work conditions. We don’t have effective or enough laws in place that protect employees to unfair practices. Their major focus is on anything that decreases expenses and increases profits.
