Buy books that are being removed. Even LaVar Burton suggested this last year. We gotta be willing to teach at home. If you leave your child to be taught about 🇺🇸 and it works.....they won't get an "education."

They'll get an "indoctrination."

To date, I’ve never gotten an answer to why parents can’t just tell their kids what they want them to know. Is there some unwritten rule that only teachers in schools can educate children? I don’t get it.

Oh I don’t have kids & don’t know about any of that...But my question isn’t about homeschooling I’m curious as to why parents don’t just take their kids aside one day & say “hey kid, this is how things were/are.” Not even as a teacher just like, as a parent imparting knowledge on their own child.

Copy that. Some cultures have extremely high trust of/deference to educational authority that takes time to dismantle, even when their own children are being harmed by the system or the curriculum. For others, they're being well served by the system and don't need that comfort to be disrupted.
