How is making poor readers read aloud during class supposed to help them become better readers?

This is so disturbing.

We need to increase our suicide prevention tools because if the methodology is to embarrass young children to make them perform better,
we're about to be in a world of hurt.

The New Education System being forced on teachers of #HISD is setting them & the students up for absolute failure.
I do not understand why the DOE hasn't stepped in. They're gonna have to. We can't wait for the next set of test scores or for people to come to their senses

Expect a mass exodus of #HISD teachers, & who would blame them?

& in the end, our children will suffer & a high scoring school system (#HISD was rated "B" before the takeover) will most likely decline

Which was the goal of Gov. Abbott & his administration.😡🤬

I have a hard time supporting this woman.
If she has ever been in a school she knows they have fluorescent lights. However, if her school has windows she doesn't need lights. My classrooms were always a wall of windows on one side and we didn't use the overheads.

I'm with the teacher and believe that for reading the best lights are LED lights.
