John Lewis at 23 years old.

He was the youngest person to speak at the original March on Washington in August of 1963.

As Joe Madison says, "Everybody can do something." Doesn't matter your age, race, religion, sex, sexuality, etc.

My son and I saw him speak in Charleston, SC as part of Boeings partnership with local schools. He talked about how important lawyers were for each step of the Civil Rights movement. What a gift to hear a first person account! My son wishes he had been a bit older so he could have retained more.

And after everything he'd been subjected to in his not nearly long enough life, he was still able to be joyful 💛

Not so fun fact - here in TN the GOP has purposed a bill to change part of John Lewis Way to Asshole (DJT) Boulevard. Probably won't pass but you never know.

Yeah Tennese is tripping but the bigger questions are:

1.) Are people organized down there to protest?

2. What ppl doing about it?
