Do you just look at your parents and notice they are growing old and get this really tight feeling in your chest?

Our body is marked with the lines of life, put there by love and laughter, suffering and tears. It is beautiful!

I took this photo in February 2020. My father's hand on my mother's, comforting her as she lay in the hospital. She died in February 2022 at 94. My dad, 95, is still alive, but dementia has taken hold of him. I cherish this photo, as sad as it makes me.

I too have death bed photos of my parents. It seems odd to many people but I find them somehow comforting.

A beautiful photograph. I can understand why you treasure it so. Perhaps one day the bittersweet will be mostly sweet 💛💔
