What's one thing you want to do before the end of the year that you've never done before? Mine is silly but I want to make gingerbread men. On a somewhat related topic, does anyone know how to bake gingerbread men?

I do have a question. For the cookie cutter, should it be metal or plastic? What size is a good one to work with? Thanks!

I prefer metal. The old fashioned plastic sticks to the dough. With the open, metal cookie cutter you can also make them thicker for softer gingerbread. Decorate with frosting. You can also turn the gingerbread men upside down and make them reindeer.

That’s what I do as well. Chilling the dough overnight allows the flavor to develop and the dough to be easier to roll out.

If time is more available earlier in the month I’ve made the dough, flatten into a square, wrap and store in the freezer. It’s super easy to roll out when it thaws enough.
