“For the period Jan 2017 to Mar 2020, just 29% of adults reported the healthfulness of their diets was “very good” or “excellent.” For context, the figure was 41% in 1989–1991.”

In response to Ricardo Salvador.
I do consider my diet to be very good/excellent (lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, variety of vegetarian protein sources, low salt, low saturated fat). It's expensive to eat that way though and may not be in the reach of everyone. We spend >$200/week for just 2 people on food.
