Okay, I decided a thing. From now instead of saying “red states,” I’m going to say “republican-oppressed states.” The hyphen may be dropped, but the word choice will remain, because it’s the truth. I hope others here will join me in this effort to change the narrative. #PleaseEcho

I'll go with "Regressed Republican States" because they sure are marching backwards to the segregated, women being subserviant with no rights and forced procreation of the 50's.

And we regressed women here just love that. All of us. Elections are perfectly representative of the whole population in every one of them.

So you love segregation and no rights as women? You are actually saying this is representative of you and you love it?
Because if so then I'm not someone you should follow on this app.

I was being sarcastic. It's hard to live in a state with corrupt leadership. We work to get good people elected. When it sounds like people are labeling us as ignorant, while not helping because we're not worth it, it's tough to hear. I agree Rep politics are regressive. They are fascist now.

I'm sorry. Thought you were serious. Sarcasm escaped me🫣😬.
I live in SC and the gerrymandering plus evangelicals keep Tweedle Dee and Dumb in the Senate. They're so use to those 2, they rarely get a challenger. Tim Scott got one last election but she was unknown and didn't get much support.

Same in MS. We've had some good challengers at times--we a have a good gov candidate--they have to self fund. MS is ground zero for Rep politics--Hayley Barber was party head--hence their national politics. In Jackson--gov took their water, wanted the airport. Small population. It could be flipped.

Hope ours will be contested next cycle now that Lindsey was voted for conviction, but I won't get my hopes up. Ours last cycle was self funded too. I hope they run again or at least Cunningham tries Senate instead of Governor.

I hope SC can run s.o. good. I just read in Mississippi Today that the national party is going to fund 5 state races for the first time. It's a start. What drives me crazy is that it's so undemocratic: MS voted in 2011 against more abortion restrictions. So their lawsuit to SCOTUS was undemocratic.
