How about this? I got fired from my job because I wasn’t willing to be overly aggressive and bully a disabled vulnerable client.

Imagine you place a loved one in a home with direct support staff that are aggressive, rigid & over bearing?

How would you feel?

TY for not bullying & it’s horrendous they’d not be in trouble for demanding this rather than you who stand up for vulnerable ppl. I hope you find work where you’re allowed to give respect not tow a line! Hoping you’ll be rewarded w/new & better employment! But I worry about those in that home!

Me as well. I resisted their approach and used my own with success. I was able to eliminate the bullying and using a kind, caring and affirmative approach, which worked.

I am just so disillusioned. The system is stacked against the vulnerable.

There are kind methods. My Father needed prodding and there was one nurse I really appreciated because she was good to him, but also demanding. He needed that. Being able to read that takes caring.
