So here’s my case for electric vehicles:

My PHEV costs $1.80 to charge and I can go 35 miles on that charge.
Gas is about $3.85 per gallon and I get 35 mpg
So…to travel 35 miles it cost less using electricity ($1.80) than gas ($3.85) to go the same distance.

I’ve often said that people won’t do what’s right but instead will take the cheapest option, so here’s your proof, although my data limited is size, that electric vehicles are not only better for the environment, but cheaper as well.

1. Most of my driving is around town, less than 20 miles.
2. Three hours to charge
3/4. Tax rebates offset the added cost, and it has a 100k mile warranty
5. I never sell my used cars, I’ll donate them and take the tax deduction
6. It’s not a Tesla not worried about spontaneous combustion

I wasn't challenging your decision to buy one if some or all of the CONS don't matter to you for any reason.

Although, please note that rebates / government subsidies vary by location.
