We need to rethink some of the things we allow in politics but not in other employment/business.

For example, switching parties after you've campaigned and raised money as a member of another party should constitute fraud.

And trying to overthrow the government should disqualify you from running.

And I'm curious, are any towns, counties, or states attempting legislation to prohibit party switching while in office? Or force resignations to enable a party switch? Or prohibit fundraising or endorsement from more than one political party within X amount of time? Cause...

Switching parties after winning an election is not illegal. Jim Jeffords, Arlen Spector, Jean Kirkpatricn and Kristen Sinema are but a few that have done it.

I'm not sure. I hate that people run on false pretence. But maybe it's better they show their stripes so they don't get reelected as "a Democrat"? If they're voting GOP, may as well do it without pretending to be Dem...like Senator Manchin. But it is fraud at the outset...so...IDK. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank god Manchin hasn’t flipped. If he did, we would have a GOP controlled senate.
