I just ate my first ever Twinkie. It was dry.

I once had a Twinkie that was made only a few hours earlier.

It was -really- good.

An air-fried Twinkie is pretty tasty, too.

Hostess busted the union in 2012, went out of business, sold themselves to a venture capital group, and now are owned by Smuckers. Eff 'em.

Next step: a deep-fried Twinkie at your local fair.

If that is not available, you might find boxes of fried Twinkies in the frozen dessert section of your grocery store.

I don’t think Canadian fairs do as much deep fried food as you guys, and certainly not available at the grocery stores. But you never know, maybe I’ll stumble on one.

They don’t taste like they used to. And even the “used to” wasn’t that great so 🤷🏼‍♀️

My son used to batter-dip and deep fry them. (No, I never ate one of those either.)

I haven't had a Twinkie since the mid-1970s. And even then I split them in half and stuffed them with strawberry ice cream.

My daughter saw a YouTuber eat one. So obviously I had to buy a box.

When they switched their formula from using lard to vegetable shortening, Twinkies started their slide down hill.

I haven’t eaten one of those thinks in decades now.

Another North American favourite that was a total disappointment when we first came across it, totally unimpressed by the Twinkie.
