Misleading. No coverage how hedge funds and others have been buying single family homes and duplexes pricing out average American. These rate hikes don't affect Vulture capitalists because the pay "cash". Let's se a chart on how many homes purchased by vultures and without financing.

Bingo! The wealthy just keep on getting wealthier, the poor keep getting poorer and the middle class is sinking. End Citizens United and Tax the obscenely wealthy.

I worked in banking in the 80s. That was when you could get a 5 year CD having 16% interest. A regular savings account gave you 5%!

Yeah, my mortgage was 11.75%--and an adjustable rate mortgage!--when I bought my house. That was under the Reagan administration, by the way.
