Reality is the PCP can really do nothing for her in this case. The oncologist will give her the accurate information and care she deserves. The best and quickest way to get her taken care of is to get that oncology referral. Had an ovarian tumor removed in Jan. I know the fear.

Trying get even a virtual visit with anyone in the clinic. As a nurse seems an unacceptable way to navigate a new cancer diagnosis with a 92 year old. Isn’t the point of a PCP to have someone treating you and caring for you who knows you? Definitely not the individual doctors fault. #brokensystem .

But she has to see PCP to get a referral to oncology. For people who don’t have my 34 years of experience they are lost!! Thankfully I help anyone who needs my experience to navigate this type of thing. Ridiculous.
