Could long-COVID be catching fewer people? CDC's Household Pulse Survey uses a simple/too simple definition of symptoms lasting more than 3 months, and recently shows little growth in the group reporting that kind of harm.

While I hope it's declining, the suvey is fairly limited. My understanding is it doesn't separate out those who have organ damage from severe Covid. If there are fewer people with severe Covid, then I would expect lower numbers. Do you know if there is recent data from the NHIS study?

The CDC's reporting on anything related to Covid has been substandard throughout the pandemic. This includes their guidelines, in addition to statistics.

Well yes, and that's part of why I start with a question mark. Still, I'm hard put to figure how the distortion would work in a survey that shows exposure rising and lasting symptoms not rising at a similar pace.
