After waiting 3 months for my Achilles tendonitis to heal on its own, I finally went to the walk-in clinic & got a boot + a referral to orthopedics. I'm supposed to stay off it for 7-10 days but can still drive (sans boot). My Achilles is a hard angry knot right now. I hopeI didn't wait too long!

Ugh - I can sympathize. May I refer you to my own recent traumatic foot experience: https://spoutible.com/thre...

I had no idea one toe could so drastically impact my life!

Oh my gosh! I'm guessing you have arthritis in your toe(s)? I had surgery on my big toe a few years ago; it still hurts and will never be fully functional again. Toes matter!

I'm especially concerned about my right Achilles because I ruptured the left one 6 yrs ago during a self-defense class.😬

I don't think arthritis is my issue. It's extra bone growth, like bone spurs would be on the heel. Wouldn't have been any issue if I hadn't dislocated the toe to begin with. But that extra bit of bone complicated the affair.

best wishes with the achilles - that's a concerning injury!
