the attitude of these parents that somehow they own their children’s identity is unfathomable to me

people, we are given our children to raise as an extraordinary gift. we never own them, they are always of themselves, from moment one

I am wth you. I think of parenting our children as the time we have to prepare them for the life journey that is ahead of them. My children are adults now and I so enjoy the adults they have become.

my youngest turned 18 just a few days ago 🙂 — I have a very easy love with my adult children, I think because there has always been deep and reciprocal respect between us
