Sending good thoughts to my #Caribbeanfam in the eastern Caribbean tonight into the weekend. We'll get some rain from feeder bands here in Trinidad #TropicalStormTammy

Be safe. I was watching cricket from Trinidad yesterday and it seemed like a calm before the storm vibe based on the match commentary.

The vibe is definitely off today. I think people are being cautious

Probably best. Sometimes you let your guard down and a couple hours later there's been 4" of rain and the streets look like a stream.

So true. Trinis rarely take storms/hurricanes seriously because they almost always swerve past us. But street flooding from unusual weather is becoming usual ☹️

Same here in the northeastern US. I still have a small pump in my garage I borrowed from the local fire station during the last event. Used it on 3 basements then. The next storm rolling in shouldn't be as bad, but it never hurts to be prepared.
