I feel guilty.

I wrote "An Unusual Practice" with no intention of ever writing a sequel. The book stood well by itself. But I left enough stuff open that a reviewer referred to it as a cliffhanger, and was irritated by that.

I promised a sequel in a year. It took four years.

At the end of the sequel (Unnatural Remedies) I left even more chads hanging, though the main plot line was closed. Now I feel obligated to write ANOTHER sequel to close the open-ended stuff, and the ones I left open from the first book.

Is this how it goes? Sequels until I die?

God, I hope it takes less than four years for #3 . I could run over everyone with a bus. Maybe a supernatural bus.
