I’m so old I used to play Star Trek and Doom on 8” floppies (circa 1976). Programmed stupid “graphics” in basic. Family biz was computers. We had them in the house before most people had even heard of them. Was only 1 in dorm of over 600 who had a computer (1987). Now my kids help me w/ my phone

I remember when sound cards were an optional luxury. I was so happy to get a Sound Blaster 16 to enhance my gaming experience. 🙂

I remember when graphic cards, well, not a luxury. No idea anything like that could ever exist. My gaming was E was the enterprise, K the Klingons and * were stars. moved one keystroke at a time. And Doom which was a text game (with a bug so I could never finish. Probably why I hate adventure games
