I've gone from the tradition of Christmas Eve, to the week before, to the beginning of the 2nd week of December because otherwise there aren't any good real trees left, but starting this year I might not put up a tree anymore. It'll either be that, or a 2 ft potted living tree.

The first couple of years of our marriage we tried real trees, but I’m very sensitive to smells and the pine scent and needles falling off constantly were too much for me. Now use pre-lit fake trees. Try to have them up by Thanksgiving.

Fake tree because it made me sad to watch a real tree slowly die. We've had our artificial one for 20 years and it's become a cherished part of our family holidays.

Buuuut then I don't have a set day, it's just my general goal, if I feel I need light and glitter, up it goes 😂

A lovely fake tree will be displayed some time after Dec. 01 but before Dec. 25. I always end up procrastinating.😏

My oldest daughter's birthday is one week before Christmas. When she was little, we would wait until after her birthday. Once she was older, we would chop our tree Thanksgiving weekend. The last several years I haven't put up a tree at all because I've been in NY, Thanksgiving through Christmas.

I put up my small artificial Christmas tree with lights on my front windowsill and put out all my Christmas decorations the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
My real Christmas tree follows the next week. 🎄

Always December 2nd, not sure why it’s just the day we’ve always done it.

First Sunday in December. We get a real tree. At some point I’m going to switch to a tabletop tree (still real), but I’ve always done a big Christmas and frankly we’ve all been stretched and stressed up the collective yinyang, so we’ll revisit childhood and basically Jimmy Stewart world this year.

Although I might do it the weekend before since I’m going out of town for Christmas and want to enjoy the tree longer ☺️
