One of my strongest early memories is of the night Reagan was elected and my parents crying in fear and grief over what was to come. 40+ years later and we are all suffering because of the course he put this country on.

My first election! I voted for Carter. Made me so mad I have voted in every election large & small but for 2 local elections since then.
#Voting is not a privilege. It your right!

My parents always drilled into us that voting wasn't just a right but a duty and that people fought and died for something I was freely given. They were also public school teachers back when millage votes funded schools so every single vote no matter how local or small mattered.

My mom too. She was an actor & into the #ERA human rights womens rights civil rights voting rights. You name it we were at a protest. Was really scary as a kid but looking back as an adult it really molded my belief that all people are equal regardless of your status in life. Voting is a
