My mother lost her 5th pregnancy in 1971, about a week after the doctors lost the heartbeat. A judge decreed she was "not close enough to death" to qualify for an abortion, so she hemorrhaged for 18 hours and was left infertile at age 32, when she very much wanted more children.

WHY I VOTED YES ON ISSUE 1
My oldest had stage 4 endometriosis. She suffered for 9 yrs, until 21, before surgery could be performed. Her surgery lasted 8 hrs, w 6 specialist surgeons. Her recovery will be long.

But all of the choices were hers. 💙
