Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed an ordinance essentially banning homosexuality in public.

Then someone with ‘standing’ (someone from the #LGBTQ community who has residence in that city in #Tennessee “) must contact the ACLU and sue under 14th Amendment and protected class status.

Posting is good at getting the word out.
Action needs to follow!

Republican strategy 101: 1) Create “laws” that are unconstitutional & unenforceable. WTH is “public homosexuality?” Lewdness ≠ homosexuality, and is already prohibited.; 2) Waste tons of taxpayer dollars on frivolous lawsuits.; 3) THE whole point is preemptive self-policing & giving in w/o fight.

These laws / policies are unconstitutional but it will take a lot of time and money to defeat them, and in the meantime, books and people will disappear. We may need to send waves of people into these communities to commit nonviolent acts of civil disobedience to speed up the legal process.

This is a grift. A “public policy expert” comes to town, and gets them to pass an unconstitutional law. Then the town is sued. The policy “expert” defends and loses. At every step they charge the town for their services. At the heart of every conservative value is a grift.

Can the ACLU do something. I’d imagine they’re pretty busy these days.

Same county that illegally put kids as young as 9 in jail. SMH. All that money and celebs in Tennessee who don't speak up.

Keep all the receipts- take them to court. They will only stop if we make bigotry as difficult as possible for them. Makes me want to form concentric love circles around city hall of men Holding hands with men and women doing the same…. Pass a cheek kiss around each circle. Kissing chain marathon !

I marched there once and this doesn’t surprise me a bit. 🤬
I think thousands of us should show up there and show them what we think of that.
I’ll go.
