What (if anything) are you most excited to cook and/or eat for Thanksgiving?

The prime rib. Year 3 of doing this. After the folks passed and I took on the hosting hat, I remembered I really don't like turkey. I will splurge on an expensive cut of beef for occasion. It's been drying in the fridge for a few days. Herb rub tomorrow.

Friend of ours is a chef and does a huge outdoor prime rib party on friday- the night after thanksgiving- usually about 50- 100 people wander in for it. I am more excited about that dinner than actual Thanksgiving food!

That sounds so absolutely epic! Food is meant to be communal and shared. We break bread for good reasons when it's left up to us and not an institution.
