How frustrating. I wonder how many people actually learned geography from the Carmen Sandiego games. I remember it having a book that was like 2in thick.

My public library actually had both Carmen Sandiego
games. Though my school didn't really allow us to play games in the labs in elementary school. We had to do a snotty program called Success Maker for Math and Reading on the daily on the Macs.

This brings back so many memories! I was obsessed with Carmen Sandiego and just lead to a never ending curiosity about other places in the world from a very young age. 💛

I ran a computer store back in the 80's when the Carmen Sandiego games came out. Tons of parents bought them and so did the schools.

This however was also my jam. You had the combination of the original Rockapella, Greg Lee, and the late Lynn Thigpen as the chief. It was magical.
