I was immersed in it (systemic ableism) for much of my adult life, and all of my adolescence. It's almost impossible to serve a military tour of duty without drowning in it.

I served during Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and too many supervisors and NT peers viewed neurodiversity solely through the lens of that oppressive policy.

It was pure erasure.
