Happily savoring my sweet oatmeal brought me this thought about perspective. We spend a lot of time arguing with others instead of listening and accepting that our view isn’t the only view. #foodforthought #perspective #IndieAuthor

Yes! Have you ever added a dash of vanilla to your oatmeal while cooking it? Our recipe includes vanilla and cinnamon, sometimes also raisins or coarsely chopped bananas. No need for even the maple syrup or honey unless we're in celebration mode.

Yes, dash of vanilla is great! I also love wild blueberries and basil in oatmeal. Something about the basil sets off the blueberries 😋

Interesting. Blueberries yes, we usually use them as a topping when we have them (we have a single blueberry bush left from our original four). Never tried basil! Have tried chopped candied ginger, dried cranberries or blueberries. We usually have oatmeal 2-3 times a week.

Home-grown blueberries are delish! Frozen wild blueberries are perfect for cooling down hot oatmeal when I’m short on time. Frozen berries in the bowl first, hot oatmeal to cover. Don’t stir. About 3 minutes later, the blueberries are defrosted and the oatmeal won’t burn my mouth! 😁
