A whole group of Americans are turning against public education and teachers. Shout it from the rooftops: the teachers are not ok. We are tired and scared.

FYI, teaching is in such demand in Canada, we have multiple immigration programs for it. Salaries ~$50k-$100k/yr + full pension and benefits.

Thank you for sharing. I would be interested in this, but I wonder if my age would prohibit me.

Not sure. Since there are several different programs so hopefully you can find one that doesn't consider age. Immigration to Canada can take a while (a year or 2) but the process is linear and systematic. Basically a points system + bureaucracy.

I've heard it's extremely difficult to get a teaching job in Canada.

Maybe the location matters, but they’re definitely trying to invent teachers to come. Where I am we have max class size laws that created a teacher shortage. A teaching degree is needed though - is that different from the US?
