With all the misinformation out there, I am wondering where does this community go for #trusted #news information? Please echo so that we can get a list of sources. Cheers

I am a Washington Post subscriber. Opinion columns are clearly marked as such and generally speaking, I feel they do try to tell the truth. Truth in journalism is hard to find. I also follow Democracy Now.

For U.S. political news, I read Palmer Report.

During major court cases, elections and events, I watch MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell

Hope Daniel Dale (ddale8 on the bird) comes to Spoutible. He was a fact-checker for the Toronto Star in Canada who went to CNN to fact-check Trump's campaign. He's a thorough de-bunker.

When I'm not sure about a print source, I check mediabiasfactcheck.com. They do a great job of factchecking media.

I haven't used that site for other media, now I'm wondering if I can fact check television news sources.

Propublica. Not exactly breaking news but their stories are some of the best researched and reported out there. The whole industry should follow their example.

I don't watch TV. Haven't for years. I read. It helps filter out so much bullshit.

Mostly spend my time online and find links to current news on varied platforms that II read and occassionally watch a clip or news story.

Relying on one source is never a good approach.

I prefer podcasts that give significant time to an issue or to a person to share their research and ideas. I find that too often print creates quick and easy narratives. And I find it harder to read lots of long-form journalism.
